UNIX support
UNIX support and Content Delivery on UNIX and Java platforms will work better than ever with 5.3. We now deliver a JSP tag library. As a result, code no longer needs to be generated since markup and tags are used instead.
.NET templates
Template developers can write templates in .NET using Microsoft® Visual Studio®, using any language. .NET provides pre-coded solutions to common programming requirements that can be used by many different applications. This means faster development time and the ability to create and deploy new Web site applications in response to market demands.
TOM.NET
Our new public .NET API, TOM.NET, enables full access to R5’s rich functionality, offering you greater flexibility for Global Web site management, Web application support, integration with back-office systems and multi-channel delivery. This API is an addition to our existing TOM API.
Faster template development time
.NET support radically reduces template development time by allowing your developers to use the tool that they know. In addition, it allows you to take full advantage of ASP.NET-specific features. As a result you get new Web content and functionality live faster.
