Websites ‘still tug-of-war between marketing and IT

Fifty per cent of marcomms managers never get the full look and feel they require for company websites because of technical restraints. Research for SDL Tridion[1] has found that websites still fall victim to a tug-of-war between IT and marketing stakeholders, with a raft of misunderstandings creating websites that satisfy no one.

WSPA goes global with online animal welfare

The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) has launched a new website in the UK, with websites in six other languages due to be launched by September. The new site has been developed using SDL Tridion software.

UK shirks responsibility for website management

88 per cent of UK senior marcomms managers are not involved in managing their website, versus 67 per cent in the US, research for SDL Tridion has found. Furthermore, with 77 per cent of senior IT managers in the US getting involved, compared with just 37 per cent in the UK, US businesses are leaving the UK trailing behind when it comes to prioritising website communications.

Belgium.be Government Portal Live on SDL Tridion

On May 29 the new Belgian federal portal, www.belgium.be, was launched by Yves Leterme, Prime Minister of Belgium. The new portal is a result of close cooperation between the Belgian Federal Government Services for ICT (Fedict) and the Department of External Communication of the chancellery and provides access to all online information and services of the government. Belgium.be runs on SDL Tridion’s Web Content Management solution. Partners IBM and Amplexor were responsible for the integration.
